CREOLE TOWNHOUSE
This 1840’s townhouse pied-a-terre needed a jolt of youthful glamor for an out-of-town couple. We met with the client only twice during the entire renovation and decoration process: once to walk through and once to approve fabrics. After that, we ran with it. We had a strict deadline and we were able to deliver the project on time and on budget. The clients shared images of vibrant, collected rooms with a modern flair yet in all there was an unmistakable layer of patina. The wife didn’t want “fussy” and the husband’s only request was a bar where he could make drinks for his friends. We turned the former guest house/servants’ quarters into a knock-out, fabulous, residential version of a New Orleans bar and this turned out to be one of the most fun concepts to develop: inspiration shopping for this space was a very good time to say the least.
